Starting Questions Have you ever booked a flight by yourself? How did you do that? What are the essentials for traveling (the things necessary for one to bring with while traveling)? Is there an unforgettable (whether good or bad) traveling experience that youd like to share?

Ref. Some Essentials for Travelers Must: your passport (with visa), ticket, money. Suggestions: Map and tour book (get them locally at a bookstore or their information bureau) Sunglasses and Sunscreen Extra clothes on carry-on baggage (in case your luggage is lost or misplaced). First aid supplies, over-the-counter medicine you frequently need (e.g. anti-acid, pain-killer) and the medicine you need regularly. *Keep them in their original package to avoid questioning at the customs office. Phone numbers you need for contact. Changes of local currency for tips and phone calls.

Discussion Questions What do you like most about traveling? (eating different foods, shopping, going to their museums, seeing sights, talking to local people, etc.) What are the things to be careful about when traveling? E.g. 1. Dont ever leave your property (bags and luggage) unattendedeven just for a minute. 2. Go to the airport two hours before the flight is scheduled to take off. (Security checks take longer nowadays.) 3. Dress conservatively (or moderately) so that you dont become a target (of theft or other crimes). 4. Check the official websites of the places you plan to visit beforehand, and plan your itinerary as much as possible. (more here: 1, 2)12
