UTS Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology Lab safety rules For this activity … Wear covered footwear No eating or drinking Do not sit on the benches Bags must be placed in the bag racks No equipment can be used without permission from a supervisor No-one may enter or leave the laboratory without permission from a supervisor If any accident occurs, it must be reported immediately to a supervisor Listen carefully and follow all instructions when we are in the laboratory PCBs are only placed on the hot plate by a supervisor Take care when using soldering irons – ask a supervisor for help if you are unsure The computer used to program the device can only be used by a supervisor
