SWBAT evaluate the impact of the Supreme Court decision in Schenck v. United States by analyzing the document based questions and writing a short opinion piece. Espionage law and the Sedition Act of 1918: made it illegal to speak out negatively about the government during war time.

Success Criteria (How can I be successful today?)
Actively reviewing the objective. Asking clarifying questions such as; “I noticed that in document ______ it said ________ but I don’t understand. Could you clarify?” I am not using my phone during class or having side conversations.

Opinion Writing In FIVE sentences minimum write an opinion to the following question Did the Supreme Court decision in Schenck v. United States violate the first Amendment of the Constitution – Freedom of Speech? Do you think this limiting free speech during war time is appropriate? Why or why not?
