1 GOLDEN TRIANGLE FOOD COOPERATIVE Germinating since The New Normal VISION: Golden Triangle Co-Op members will locally grow, sell, buy and eat from their neighbors gardens and farms. Project Elements: “Buy Local” networking and marketing of a multi-faceted, members owned Food Co-Op and Processing Hub. Educate growers in how to grow and market from their gardens and farms. Operate an on-line Virtual Farmers Market. Develop Partnerships with regional trucking companies. Build licensed community kitchen and processing hub. Co-Op elected board members for administration. Training: Food handling, GAP certification, drought resistant growing, high tunnel and subterranean greenhouse pods, hydroponics growing, and scratch cooking. Initial funding provided my Farmers Union. Fiscal Agent, Montana Cooperative Development Center, will register this multi-faceted food co-op with the Secretary of State.

Initial funding provided by Farmers Union. Fiscal Agent, Montana Cooperative Development Center, is preparing to register with the Sate of Montana as a multi-faceted Food Co-Op. Ken Meter of Crossroads Research Center in Minneapolis conducted a regional marketing study, funded by Farmers Union. Study results delivered June 1, 2017. A 3 day site visit with the developers of Wisconsin food co-ops and hubs completed in September Wisconsin Farmers Union will continue consulting with Golden Triangle advisory committee members. Eric Bergman, CSA proprietor, in Great Falls and employee of MFU is designing a co- op pilot project to be activated by January 1, It will involve a select number of local producers of beef, produce and rural school food service directors (lunch ladies) to design the perfect Co-Op operations practice.
