Status Report Cop Taskforce

current status Seven teleweb meetings held so far, last one on 7 May 2019 First sets of CoP data have been received from 8 European OEMs, more data is expected A subgroup is started by JRC to discuss the analysis of CoP data Draft text was prepared for CoP procedure, using EU-WLTP text as a starting point. For the GTRs the administrative elements have been taken out A subgroup for drafting has been formed, the work on the draft text will continue when we have agreement on what can be harmonized Issues concerning the specific CoP procedure for EVs are currently addressed by subgroup EV, a draft text proposal has been prepared.

main Discussion items Broad support to:
develop a harmonized test procedure for CoP allow regional options for (statistical) evaluation of CoP results Discussions now focus on the details of what could and should be harmonized

open issues Alternative statistical pass/fail criteria for CO2 proposed: validation yet to take place WLTP CoP data is needed for assessment of proposals The combined database seems sufficiently comprehensive and diverse enough to start the analysis

Outlook & timing Next meeting on 6 June 2019 (tele/web) to discuss the details of harmonization of the CoP procedure Work on the draft text proposal for the GTRs 15 and 19 (CoP drafting SG) Analysis of CoP data, evaluate alternative pass/fail criteria (CoP data SG) Contribution to Working Document planned for the January 2020 session of GRPE (due October 2019) Further discussion/development of the CoP procedure/text for EVs in SG- EV meeting on 21st May Timing of CoP TF is related to progress in Transposition TF
