Your medium, Decide your medium, conventional photographic slides or over head projector transparencies, 8 x10 projection screen effectively convey much more information
Room size and lighting, All things being equal larger the room, larger the type and images you used. If the lights will be dimmed during the talk, consider going with light color slide background, to help lighten the room and enable your audience to see you and ideally, pay more attention to what you are saying

8. Disabling the startup and New slide Dialog boxes
If you almost always create the same type of presentation then turn off this new slide or open existing file option
Tools Options  View clear the check boxes of Power Point (Start up) and new slide
You can also check the choice labeled Don’t show this Dialog box again in either dialog box to suppress that box from now on
