12. Recreation & Habitat Project Proposal Hunter Brook Fishing Access and Habitat Enhancement Project – Phase 1
Applicant: NYS DEC
Municipality: Lexington, NY
Funding Request: $25,000
In-kind Contribution: $25,000 plus an additional $15,000 in other grants
Description: This project proposal is for funding to improve recreational access along a stream that is available for public fishing. The project will also enhance the diversity of habitat available for wild brook trout in the Hunter Brook (a tributary to the West Kill). In addition, the project will address some isolated areas of bank erosion.
Staff Recommendation:
