One may define identity as the distinctive characteristic belonging to any given individual, or shared by all members of a particular social category. A person's identity is also defined as the totality of one's self-construal, in which how one construes oneself in the present expresses the continuity between how one construes oneself as one was in the past and how one construes oneself as one aspires to be in the future. 8 What then is acceptance
Acceptance is the process or fact of being received as adequate, valid, or suitable. It is the action of consenting to receive or undertake something offered Acceptance is also known as: welcoming, favourable reception, embrace, approval, adoption, integration What then is acceptance

10 John 8:32, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
I want you to say to yourself, "I am worthy, because JESUS' blood has made me worthy!" Our identity in Christ

11 You are loved by God the Father
You are loved by God, not because of what you've done, but because of who you are. Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." John 15:13, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." You are loved by God the Father

12 You were purchased at a steep price
The wages of your sin is death (see Romans 6:23), but Jesus paid that price for you. God's Word tells us that we were purchased by the precious Blood of the Lamb: 1 Corinthians 6:20, "For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." You were purchased at a steep price

13 We are justified and declared innocent
If you have repented of your sins and accepted the gift of God, referring to the forgiveness of sins through the precious shed Blood of Christ, then God's Word tells us that we are justified: Galatians 2:16, "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." We are justified and declared innocent

14 We are entitled to a clean conscience
Hebrews 9:14, "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?“ We are entitled to a clean conscience

15 Your sins are no longer a part of you
Hebrews 10:17, "And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more." Your sins are no longer a part of you

16 Romans 5:1, "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." We have peace with God

17 We are clothed with the righteousness of Jesus
Romans 5:17, "For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." We are clothed with the righteousness of Jesus

18 You are made new in Christ - Born of God!
2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Ephesians 4:24, "And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." John 1:12-13, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." You are made new in Christ - Born of God!

19 You are seated with Christ - a position of authority
Ephesians 2:6, "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." You are seated with Christ - a position of authority

20 The truth is that we, by our own power and effort, are unworthy, but it is the Blood of Christ that makes us worthy. And if we say we are unworthy when the Blood says we are, then we are denying the work that Christ did for us on the cross and it is that denial that will take people to hell. Concluding thoughts

21 Thank you
