Transporters required to issue tender for AUGE by 1st October 2010

Guidelines require the UNCC initially to undertake the following:
Produce a set of criteria for the appointment of the AUGE
Derive a methodology to assess the tender bids

Options for UNCC:
Transporters produce draft criteria and methodology for approval by UNCC (could be circulated in advance to industry for comment?) or
UNCC convenes sub-group to develop criteria and methodology
Transporters suggest (1) as preferred option
2 tranches – draft criteria and methodology separately tabled at July and August UNCC meetings for UNCC approval
(2) not preferred as process as establishment of group and agreement of material could be unduly complex and protracted. Risk to adherence to timescales
