2. Use your local university for any relevant lectures, Open Days, etc – ask if there are any relevant research projects or summer schools you could get in involved in.

3. Headstart courses for science and engineering give the opportunity to spend a week at a top university department in the summer of Year 12 but need to be applied for in January/February.
Oxford UNIQ Summer schools, London University Taster Days in June/July need to be applied for in January of Year 12 – and check out Sutton Trust Summer Schools.

4. Some suggested Edge activities which correlate to:
Lead: Lead an activity as part of a summer school
Organisation: Organise an independent research project for a chosen subject, and showcase your findings within the department
