3 What is ? A secure, world-wide roaming wireless network access service developed for the research and education community. Uses 802.1X for authentication and a hierarchical system of RADIUS servers Started in 2002 in Europe, eventually came to U.S. ten years later.

Connect visitors (from other eduroam institutions) to the local network Connect local users to other participating networks.

16 How to setup Three RADIUS polices are needed: Roaming user policy
Allows external campus user to authenticate Local user policy Allows campus user to authenticate locally Proxy user policy Forwards non-campus users to eduroam-us servers

18 Allows connections from eduroam-us RADIUS servers
This removes the suffix from the USERID

19 This makes sure we allow the correct IU domains

20 This allows any domain that doesn’t match an IU domain to get proxied to the eduroam-us RADIUS servers.
