We have covered a lot of material today so far. But I want each of you to focus carefully on this slide, for this slide asks a very important question Which cirlce best represents your life right now? Which circle represents your present spiritual condition? Which person are you?
Today we’ve looked at three different types of people, each represented by one of these cirles. All people, including every Navy recruit at this training center and in this classroom this afternoon, are presently in one of three different spiritual conditions:
The Natural Person – This person is not a Christian. Christ is outside their life. Self is on the throne and their life is directed by self, resulting in bad fruit and discord.
The Spiritual Person – This person has invited Christ into their life. They are a Christian. Christ is on the throne and their life is directed by Him, resulting in good fruit and harmony with God’s plan.
The Carnal Person – This person has also invited Christ into their life. They also are a Christian, but at some point self has retaken the throne of their life, resulting once again in bad fruit, discord and frustration.
The GOOD NEWS of the Gospel is that you do not have to remain in the natural or carnal condition!!!
