Hands-On Activities Students are given different kinds of real flowers so that they are able to observe the parts of the flowers up close while the teacher explains to them the parts and the functions and later on the students are able to do the activity given by the teacher. Example of activity: - Label the parts of the flowers given to you by sticking them on a piece of drawing block and state the functions of the parts of the flowers. Label the flower at the top of the page. Students are given different coloured papers and are asked to make an origami of a flower. This can be done as a closure of the lesson. The best origami will be displayed in the classroom.

Minds-On Activities Teacher carry out a classroom quiz where the students are grouped into four groups. Teacher reads out the functions of the parts of the flowers and students are asked to name the parts of the flowers that has that function. Fastest one to answer will get a point. Questions can also be asked by the teacher to the students. The questions will lead them to think. An example of the questions will be: Why are flowers colourful?

ICT The teacher can use several types of ICT in enhancing the students understanding on ‘Flowers’. The types of ICT that the teacher can use are: - Videos. To show the dissecting of a flower and to see up close the insides of the flower. (this saves time to not do in class) - ActivStudio Professional software. Using interactive whiteboard to give out activities such as labeling the flowers and answering question.

- Websites for games and activities on flowers to help them understand and remember the functions of the flowers easily.
