5 Why They Immigrated Syria Morocco
Syrians displaced by ongoing fighting are immigrating to Canada. Innocent refugees are escaping civil war and coming to Canada in hopes for a safer life. Moroccans immigrated to Canada because of the lack of well-paying jobs. They wanted to live a fuller and richer life, so they immigrated to Canada to get a job and raise their families in a better place.

6 Before and After Immigrating
Syria Morocco Syrians expected a civil-war- free country and life. Some government-sponsored Syrian refugees staying at a budget hotel in Toronto say they feel like they’re “trapped in a prison” without hope due to a lack of communication, supplies and assistance. Moroccans expected a fuller and richer life. Moroccans were told by immigration officers at Montreal’s Trudeau airport that their family’s visas were given out by mistake and had been revoked by Immigration Canada.

7 Where Did They Settle? Syria Morocco
Syrian refugees settled mainly in Thornton-Ontario, Altona- Manitoba, and Whitehorse- Yukon, but have settled in all provinces around Canada. But because of civil-war in Syria, there are more refugees to arrive to Canada that may create communities in other large cities too. Moroccan immigrants settled mainly in the province of Quebec, but there are also communities in Toronto, Vancouver, and Ottawa. Because many Moroccans living in Canada are not registered with the Moroccan authorities, the real weight of the Moroccan community in Canada may be underestimated.
