COMPOUND SUBJECTS, COMPOUND PREDICATES, & COMPOUND SENTENCES

COMPOUND SUBJECTS There is more than one subject in the sentence.
The boy and his two dogs played fetch in the backyard.

The dog caught the ball and carried it back to the boy.
COMPOUND PREDICATES There is more than one predicate (verb) in the sentence. The dog caught the ball and carried it back to the boy.
