To facilitate, coordinate and document interaction with urban stakeholders in Living Labs, Reference Cities, URBAN-EU-CHINA,

Europe: Two cities (Tel Aviv and Leeds) expressed interest to sign and become Reference Cities

Challenges
Task 5.1:
Balance limited resources (budget and working hours) to meet the ambition of following up the living labs;
How to make the inputs of each WP match the needs of living lab cities;
Co-organize two partner meeting with ULL activities in Jingdezhen and Wuhan, and make timelines for activities in between the partner meetings
Task 5.2:
China:
The proposed diversification of demand for cities does not necessarily coincide with the intentional European cities and requires precise docking
For projects that have already been agreed or started, project parties are concerned about the actual promotion role of the platform
Europe:
Lack of any resources for European cities – difficult to commit cities
Market the project as something more than a RIA – build suitable messages
Task 5.3:
Timing of TRANS-URBAN contributions; most contributions will come when the knowledge base has been established, in year 2, which will be the final year of URBAN-EU-CHINA
Task 5.4:
Connect to the key (concurrent) initiatives and projects that can benefit from and contribute to the Knowledge Base and the ULL

Outlook
Task 5.1:
Partner meetings in the ULLs in Autumn 2019 (Jingdezhen) & Spring 2020 (Wuhan)
Local workshops in each ULL to explore operational scope, and define cooperation plans, including working mode, milestones and impact criteria

Enhancing the impact of reference cities through systematic experience reporting of the Chinese ULL
Attracting other Chinese cities to learn relevant experience and expand the number of reference cities
