4 What is it? Definition: Something worthy of vener-ation: Lk. 1:49 Things connected with God and possessing a claim to reverence: Acts 7:33 Persons whose services God employs; those who are set apart by Him: Lk. 2:23; 1 Cor. 1:2 Used in a moral sense; pure, sinless, upright, holy: 1 Pet. 1:15-16 To set apart for a special purpose; to dedicate to Jehovah; to consecrate; to make holy; to separate from other things or persons.
