- a bridge to the quality assurance system in Adult Social Care Quality Assurance and Learning Framework for Adult and Community Services (ACS) Suffolk Principles: strengths- based approach, clear about areas needing improvement, learning from people accessing our services and from partners Why we need a quality assurance system? Local authorities are responsible for their own performance, their improvement and for leading the delivery of improved outcomes for local people in their area The Care Act 2014 states that public services must adopt a holistic, person centred perspective, with a focus on people’s wellbeing. The Act also requires local authorities to deliver excellent social work practice We strongly believe that effective quality assurance will contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement in Adult and Community Services To share the Adult social care quality matters 2017’ single view of quality and commitment to improve adult social care; a shared commitment to high-quality, person-centred adult social care To promote the view that ‘Quality is everybody’s business’ By applying the framework, we will be able to achieve greater consistency and accountability in the quality of the service we provide across all areas Support having a clear vision: to deliver high quality, effective and efficient services to people Safeguard that people receive care and support of high quality, working with the individual and our partner organisations to achieve outstanding outcomes and that they will be safe and treated with dignity and respect A whole system approach to quality assurance and learning in ACS that supports achieving outstanding outcomes for people accessing ACS services Vison Enable quality outcomes by driving and influencing best practice through learning, engagement and professional development.
