Cutover Weekend - Overview
V12.00 Retail Market Release – Co-Ordinated Cutover (ROI &NI): The Cutover weekend schedule will be managed through a detailed list of planned tasks that will progress through a number of key milestones along the way Critical Cutover activities involving ESB Networks, NIE Networks, ATOS and all Market Participants are planned over the course of the weekend including: Message Reconciliation activities pre Outage Self Service EMMA Schema upgrades MP Backend system updates A co-ordinated and aligned Cutover approach is critical to ensure a successful outcome All communication between ESB Networks, NIE Networks and Market Participants throughout Cutover Execution will be managed via ReMCoDS

When will it happen? Cutover will be take place over four distinct stages: In Month Before (i.e. Up To Fri 12th Apr) 2. Week Before (i.e. Mon 15th Ap – Thu 18th Apr (ROI)/Fri 19th Apr (NI)) 3. Cutover Weekend (i.e. From Thu 18th Apr (ROI) and Fri 19th Apr(NI) Until Mon 23rd Apr) 4. Post Cutover

Summary The dates and timings of individual Key Market Task and Milestones are subject to change based on progress of Cutover Flexibility is required from all market participants to ensure a successful cutover and resumption of normal market services as planned by Mon 21st 23:59 During cutover all Market Participants are required to update their EMMA via the agreed self service approach in order to be able to send and receive messages Do not send market messages using Schema Version v after the following times: Key Market Task 8 - Stop sending Market Messages (ROI) – Thu 18th Key Market Task 9 - Stop sending Market Messages (NI) – Fri 19th Market Participants are requested to be contactable until formal notification of successful Cutover Completion has been confirmed by ReMCoDS ReMCoDs will inform Market Participants when they can start sending MM’s following achievement of Milestone 8 - Notification that cutover is complete. Resumption of normal services

Contingency Approach Contingency approach for cutover will be to fix any issues encountered until a specified cut-off time whereby a decision will be made to roll back In the unlikely event of a rollback being required: ATOS will provide an instruction guide to MPs to roll back their EMMAs to Schema v Market Participants will need to roll back their EMMA upgrade, and any associated changes made to their respective backend systems. A rollback scenario can only be invoked up to: Milestone 7 - Network Operator Testing commences (POINT OF NO RETURN) Sun 21st Apr The contingency approach after this milestone is a “Fix and go Forward” strategy ESBN and NIE Networks will collaborate closely with ReMCoDS throughout the cutover period and should the need for a rollback scenario arise, this will be flagged as appropriate via ReMCoDS ESBN & NIE Networks cutover approaches have been proven via IPT and multiple Dress Rehearsals in their internal testing MPs EMMA upgrade to V Schema in Cutover mirrors that validated via IPT

IPT – Schema Upgrade - Lessons Learned
Issue # Details Solution Comments 1 User cannot execute the script as the PowerShell policy is set to not allow any scripts to run. Run this command in PowerShell "Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted". Instructions will be provided in a known issues section of the Production upgrade guide. 2 When trying to run the script the user is prompted with the error "Access is denied" The user needs to run PowerShell as administrator before executing the script The Production upgrade guide will be updated so that the supplier must run PowerShell as administrator before executing the upgrade script 3 Additional ROI CustomerServiceDetailsCode not appearing in WebForms Drop the updated Collated.txt file into required location and restart the two WebSphere windows services. New Collated.txt file will be uploaded to the SFTP site and instructions will be provided in the known issues section of the guide.

Schema Upgrade Steps Market participants need to follow the following steps as part of the upgrade - Pre upgrade check Download upgrade script from the SFTP site Running the schema upgrade script as administrator Upload the upgrade script output log to the SFTP site for Atos to review Post upgrade check (TIBCO and Additional webforms codes) Send 999 test message Confirm that the version number of the 999 message is version Confirm that the 999 message sent successfully Send an to ATOS to confirm completion of all the EMMA upgrade tasks above

Walkthrough of Market Participant Self Service Schema Upgrade – Instruction Guide Note: In the unlikely event of a Schema rollback being required, a Schema Roll Back Guide will be provided by Atos.

Support will be provided by ATOS to Market Participants throughout the Schema Cutover window Schema Cutover Approach used during Cutover mirrors that used in IPT Lessons learned from IPT have been incorporated into the cutover plan and Instruction Guide It is recommended that the same resources who executed the IPT Schema update on the Test EMMA do the same for Production EMMA at Cutover Support will be provided, if required, by ATOS Market Participants should not carry out any changes to any EMMA in relation to the v Retail Market Release in advance of formal instruction via ReMCoDS i.e. Milestone 5 - Notification that Central Hub upgrade is complete – Sat 20th Apr MPs commence EMMA upgrade as per agreed schedule – Sat 20th Apr Note: Do not start this EMMA upgrade task until Milestone 5 has been confirmed by ReMCoDS On completion of EMMA Upgrade MPs should ATOS to confirm 999 sent and Log uploaded

Description Comments MCR1140 Version 4.0 Introduction of Eircodes into the Retail Market Design in Ireland Eircodes can be submitted on MMs in the existing Postal Code field : 010, 012, 012W,013 & 021 Eircodes where available will be returned in the existing Postal Code fields on MM: 014R, 101, 101P, 101R, 102, 102P, 102R, 105, 105L, 110, 112, 112R, 112W, 114, 301, 301N& 330 ESBN will agree schedule for mass uploads of Eircodes into the Meter Point Address Postal Code field in the Central Market System at a future IGG. ESBN intend to update these in batch – mechanism and schedule to be discussed at a future IGG Once the Postal Code field has been populated it will be visible on the Retail Market Participant Extranet – Appendix MCR1140 refers Note: Existing Market Defect originally intended to go-live with MCR1187 will now be implemented alongside this MCR.
