Those without proper ID may not participate What are acceptable forms of ID? Student ID Card CRU Card Driver’s License or other photo ID NO OASIS! Those who are NOT on the printed roster may NOT play Players must pass a short swim test prior to participating Lifeguards will be on shift in case of an emergency No jewelry may be worn including goggles and sunglasses Glasses may be worn if a strap is used

What Constitutes a Forfeit?
No Show Not enough players (Fewer than 3 players 5 minutes passed scheduled game-time) Not meeting the minimum gender requirements Use of ineligible players Cancellation of game with less than 24 hours business notice Forfeits do not receive Fair Play ratings! The forfeit score is 6-0!

5 players in the pool Minimum # of players to play: 3 CoRec Rec: 3:2, 2:2, 2:1; 0 experienced players CoRec Competitive: 3:2, 2:2, 2:1; 3 max experienced players ResHall: no ratios; 0 experienced players If team does not meet the minimum of 3 and/or the gender requirement = forfeit ($20 fine) Forfeit score: 6-0

The Game All players (except the goalkeeper) MUST sit in the tube with both legs hanging over the tube. Players may advance through the water only while in the tube this way Goalkeepers must sit with both legs through the middle of the tube The game is 24 Minutes total. Two (2) twelve-minute halves. Teams change sides at the end of each half. In the last two minutes of the game, the clock will be stopped on all whistles. Each team will receive 1 timeout per game. The team calling the time-out must have possession of the ball. Only players in the pool may call a timeout. Half time is 2 minutes long. Teams need to average a FairPlay score of 3.5 to qualify for playoffs

Goalkeeper The Goalkeeper may not throw the ball past the half-line of the pool. The ball must be put into play within 10 seconds of the official’s whistle after a goal The goalkeeper is not allowed to leave the goalkeeper area (the 2-yard red marker zone). The tube may NOT be straddled or sat on The Penalty for breaking any of the above regulations: Loss of possession to opponent at the spot of the infraction

Pool Players All members can pass, catch, and throw the ball to team members or toward the goal in an attempt to score. One or both hands may be used at any time. Players cannot be in the red zone of the opposing teams goalkeeper. Penalty: Loss of possession to opponent’s goalkeeper in the goalkeeper area. Flipping Players Where? Anywhere NOT in the red zones How? Both hands lifting up or both hands pushing down Who? ONLY players who currently are in possession of the ball can be flipped If a player is flipped from their tube, they lose possession until they are fully back in their tube Possession A player is in possession of the ball if it is in their tube, in their hands, or if they currently control the ball Players CANNOT take the ball if it is in another players possession unless they flip the player in possession of the ball CANNOT be in possession of the ball unless they are fully in their tube Contact Players cannot be in physical contact with each other at any point Tube on Tube contact/ bumping is allowed, but only in the YELLOW zone

Scoring: All goals are worth 1 point
Goals attempted from inside the red zone do not count If a player falls out of the tube immediately after scoring a goal, the goal does not count! Ball must be completely inside of goal cage to score. After a goal is scored, goalkeeper must hold ball until official blows whistle. Then the Goalkeeper must pass the ball within 10 seconds of whistle. 15 seconds to move ball past half-pool after score= loss of possession at mid-pool. No passing back to the goalie, ever! Penalty= Loss of possession at mid-pool!

Overtime Periods Anyone can be the goalkeeper
Regular Season: 3 person shoot out decides the winner. Playoffs: Game ends in a tie: Teams switch sides for an Overtime period: 2 minutes, which is NOT golden goal! After the 2 minutes, if the score remains tied, penalty throws will be used to determine a winner. Penalty throws will be a best out of 3 attempts, with males and females alternating. 1 point will be added to the score of the winning team to determine the final score of the game.

Penalty Throw A Penalty throw is awarded when an offensive player is fouled inside the penalty area facing the goal and controlling the ball. All players, except for the goalie, must leave the penalty area for the throw. The thrower must wait for the official’s whistle. The player must throw in one continuous motion

The penalty for the following fouls is loss of possession and a foul recorded on scorecard The ball is awarded to the nearest opponent Disqualified from game upon 5th foul Penalty throw if person fouled was inside the penalty area Penalty shot for every 5 fouls Any major foul can be immediate cause for ejection if given a Red Card!

Major Fouls Offending player is given a yellow card or possible ejection depending on severity of the foul. A penalty throw will be awarded to the offended team for every yellow card and red card given.

Major Fouls Attacking an opponent in a manner deemed dangerous or malicious by officials Taunting Foul Language Violent/persistent foul play Other forms of unsportsmanlike conduct Refusing to comply with officials’ requests
