1 English /5/18 What, to you, is the most important issue brought out in the book? What do you hae the most to write about? How many college football players does it take to put in a light bulb? Philodox – one who loves his own opinions. Goals – Begin drafting your To Kill a Mockingbird essay on the computer. Focus on the intro paragraph – “hook, transition, thesis, map.” Homework – Don’t forget to study for vocab. quiz #22. The whole team, and they get a semester credit for it.

2 English /6/18 How do you evaluate whether a piece of information or article is relevant to an essay? How do you know you are correct? He who hesitates is probably right. Mumpsimus - A person who refuses to correct an error, habit, or practice even though it has been shown to be wrong. Goals – Answer questions about the paper. Go to Lab 107 to write. Homework – Complete intro paragraph for turn in tomorrow. Don’t forget to study for vocab. quiz #22.

3 English /7/18 Write on any topic that interests you from To Kill a Mockingbird? The lottery is a tax on people that are bad in math. Mythoclast – destroyer of myths. Goals – Turn in intro paragraph (TKAM D1). Begin work on topic sentences and quotes for all three body paragraphs. (TKAM D2) Homework – Turn in TKAM D2 at beginning of class tomorrow. Don’t forget to study for vocab. quiz #22.

4 English /8/18 Which articles can you connect to the story? How will you connect them in your body paragraphs? What did the rug say to the floor? Bicipital – having two heads. Goals – Discuss the second part of the body paragraphs. It is all you. Go to Lab 107. Homework – Continue work on Body paragraphs. Do some writing to clarify your thinking.
