James 1:17

2 God Is Good And Gives Good Gifts
There is no “variance” with God: He is completely good – Mk 10:18; Jas 1:17 God knows which gifts are good and how to give them - Matt. 7:7-11, esp. 7:11 God said that His people “shall not be in want of any good thing” - Psa. 34:10

3 God Is Good And Gives Good Gifts
God’s people prove – demonstrate – His good and acceptable and perfect will when we give ourselves to Him in service as living sacrifices - Rom. 12:1-2 What kinds of gifts does God give us that are described as “good and perfect?”

4 God’s Loving And Mature Gifts Include Many Things We Take For Granted
God’s gifts are both loving and mature God calls His gifts good: food and shelter, work, marriage or singleness, guidance, Jesus, His word, faithful endurance, and their result – eternal life

5 Loving And Mature Gifts Come From God While Lesser “Gifts” Arise From Arrogant And Ignorant Ingratitude Ingratitude provides destructive consequences when we ignore God’s role in the gifts of our life - Rom. 1:18-32, esp. 1:20-21

6 God has done His part. Have you done yours?
God's Plan of Salvation GOD'S PART The great love of God for man (Jn 3:16) He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, as the Saviour (Lk 19:10) Sent the Holy Spirit as a guide (Jn 16:13) Gave the Gospel as "the power" unto salvation (Rom 1:16) Provided atonement by the blood of Christ (Rom 5:9) MAN'S PART Hear the Gospel (Rom 10:17, Jn 8:32) Believe the Gospel (Heb 11:6, Jn 20:31) Repent of past sins (Lk 13:3, Acts 17:30) Confess faith in Jesus Christ (Rom 10:10, Matt 10:32) Be Baptized (Gal 3:27, Mk 16:16, Acts 2:38) Be faithful unto death (Rev 2:10) God has done His part. Have you done yours?
