In Fort Lauderdale we have begun laying the foundation of our parking demand management system through the development of our city wide parking study. The city wide parking study will include: Data collection of utilization rates for private and public parking facilities Inventory of city wide parking Recommendations for dedicated ride sharing partnerships (Uber,Lyft) Rate Changes Recommendations for changes to land use for more effective parking management

AN example of what the parking study will include is recommendations for how to accomdate ride share operations in the city to reduce the impact on our parking inventory and on the transportation network.

Las Olas Improvement Project
We have already begun this partnership with Uber and Lyft by creating dedicated passenger pick up and drop off zones during peak days and times in a popular area of the city.
