For numeracy this week we will be looking at real life word problems such as ” I have 3 items but only
one item needs to go into the bin, how many items will I have left?”
Throughout our numeracy sessions
children will be exposed to lots of
visuals to help with their understanding of new mathematical
concepts.
Can you help me count and sort items into groups?
We will also have a feely bag with different items, children will be encouraged to pick an item from the bag and then use the language
frame ‘This is’ to name the
Item.
