Observation $5.2 Billion $3.5Billion Provincial TDSB Grants ~$295M Operational Issues Include: Resources Pricing For example: Window Replacement: Pre-tender price $994K Post-tender price $1.97M ~70,000 unfunded pupil surplus spaces which is equivalent to 140 Schools with 500 seat capacity $3.4B Repair Backlog increasing to $4.7B by 2018 $4.7B is $14,700/space. 70,000 empty spaces represents $1.03B of the total deferred maintenance. $1.03B represents the equivalent of 68 New 500 seat schools ACCUMULATING REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE COST $500M AVERAGE GRANTS TO ADDRESS REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE 2003 2023
