Preliminary results, very rough EBSD scans for coarse grain size evolution observation.
Grain size – several hundreds of microns
Equiaxed grains, twins, slightly deformed
Some grains are badly indexed – sample preparation must be improved

2. Free bending - CuZr Initial state 1 pass Only minor effect
Right image – black HAGB, orange LAGB

3. Free bending - Cu Initial state 2 passes, 180°
Grains are deformed but not refined

Small parts seem to be refined, but these are probably just badly indexed

4. Free bending - CuZr Initial state 2 passes, 180° 4 passes, 180°
Grains are heavily deformed but most of them still not refined

5. Free bending - CuZr Initial state 2 passes, 90°
Grains look slightly more deformed and refined than after 2 passes with 180° rotation

6. Free bending - CuZr Initial state 2 passes, 90° 3 passes, 90°
Grains are heavily deformed
Average size about 100 microns

Duplex structure:
Small grains bellow 1 micron
Large grains about 10 microns
