The Words of Our Lord 12. Prepare ye, prepare ye for that which is to come, for the lord is nigh; 13. And the anger of the Lord is kindled, and his sword is bathed in heaven, and it shall fall upon the inhabitants of the earth. D&C Section 1, Nov. 1, I tell you these things because of your prayers; wherefore, treasure up wisdom in your bosoms, lest the wickedness of men reveal these things unto you by their wickedness, in a manner which shall speak in your ears with a voice louder than that which shall shake the earth; but if ye are prepared ye shall not fear. D&C Section 38, January 2, 1831

PURPOSE This template is a step-by-step plan for the ward to develop as a prudent measure, and follow in the event of a community disaster or emergency. The plan details some of the necessary supplies each household should have on hand, provides a timeline for tasks to be carried out in the hours/days before a known disaster strikes, describes roles and responsibilities of ward members charged with implementing the plan, and describes activities to be conducted after the event. This plan should be reviewed regularly to accommodate new members of the ward and update contact and status information.
