5 Eligibility Requirements
Be a local area secondary student with a 3.9 weighted high school GPA on a minimum of 12 graded credits to include at least: 2 English credits 2 mathematics credits, one of which must be Algebra II or higher 1 science credit with associated lab 1 social studies credit Have the following minimum test scores: ACT Test – 26 or higher Composite Score plus the following subscores: Reading subscore of 19 or higher English subscore of 19 or higher Math subscore of 21 or higher SAT Test – 1230 or higher Total Score plus the following subscores: Reading subscore of 24.5 or higher Writing subscore or 27.5 or higher Math subscore or 25.5 or higher

6 Grandfather Clause:  Students who meet the testing requirement in place currently in the articulation agreement as noted below may take classes at FSU for Summer/Fall 2019 but must have the NEW requisite test scores on file at FSU by October 1, 2019 to enroll for Spring 2020 classes.   ACT:  Reading 21 or higher, English 21 or higher, Math 21 or higher SAT: Evidence-based Reading & Writing 530 or higher, Math 530 or higher

8 Schedule Advising with Academic Center for Excellence (ACE)
Students must call (850) in order to schedule an appointment with an advisor or to sign up for Dual Enrollment Orientation at ACE in the University Center A (football stadium), Suite Our dual enrollment advising procedures cannot accommodate walk-in traffic. After the advising appointment and clearance of health forms (new students), your selected schedule will be sent to the Registrar’s Office for administrative enrollment. Students do not have access to enroll themselves in courses. Deadline for summer & fall 2019 dual enrollment – Friday, April 26th

9 Recommended Dual Enrollment Courses
With the establishment of a 15-hour core of general education courses (36 hours total) recognized across ALL public colleges and universities in Florida. These credits will count toward the bachelor’s degree and fulfill a general education requirement. Some of these credits may satisfy additional requirements, but that will vary across institutions and majors. Check other college and university catalogs as appropriate to your postsecondary plans. Course descriptions are available in the FSU Undergraduate Bulletin or Note: FSU cannot guarantee you a seat in any of these courses. Availability is based only on remaining seats during your registration window.

10 Fsu Student Identification Card
Before students begin their first semester at FSU, they are required to obtain an FSU Student Identification Card. Students are required to bring this card with them any time they are on campus. The FSUCard Center is located at 104 N. Woodward Avenue, in the Woodward Avenue Parking Garage, on the corner of Woodward Avenue and West Call Street. The student must bring a photo ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.). There is no fee for the first card, however if the card is lost there will be a $15 replacement fee. 11 Parking on FSU Campus If the student plans to drive and park on campus, they MUST obtain an FSU student parking permit from the FSU Transportation & Parking Services to avoid being ticketed and/or having their car towed. The student parking permit is only valid for the parking lot/garage spaces that are designated “Student W Parking.” Failure to abide by Transportation and Parking Services regulations will result in fines that must be paid before transcripts will be released to the student. GPA Testing General Dual Enrollment: 3.0 unweighted (cumulative) high school GPA Students must submit ACT, FSA Reading, PERT, and/or SAT scores. Scores must be less than two years old Student may test at TCC Testing Center during summer only

15 How does my student apply?
Student must complete the TCC Online Application for Dual Enrollment - (Select the Dual Enrollment application) Submit qualifying test scores (AP or CLEP scores) to Tallahassee Community College (application must be completed in order to add scores to student file) Meet with high school counselor to determine courses needed for high school graduation requirements: Submit Permission to Register form High school transcript (include unweighted high school GPA) Test scores (new students only) Forms must be signed by High School Counselor or Designee

16 How to Register for Courses
Sign in to TCC Passport using your TCC username and password. Click "My Schedule" located at the top of the page. Scroll to the far right and click "Credit Registration." Choose the appropriate term using the drop-down arrow and then click Select Term. Scroll down to the class search screen and type in the Course ID and Number. Click the red "Search Now" button to see all of the available classes. To add a class, click the Reference Number (RefNum) button located to the left of the Course ID. After adding all of your classes, click the red "Register Now" button. If there are no error messages, click the "View/Print Schedule and Fees" button.

18 Adding & Dropping Courses
ALL paperwork must be submitted on or prior to dual enrollment deadline. Only current dual enrolled students may adjust courses during respective time frames. ALL adjustments must be approved by high school counselor. Always refer to academic calendar for specific dates. Guidelines: Last day to ADD: 2nd of classes – submit Course Adjustment Form Last day to Drop: 5th day of classes – submit Course Adjustment Form Last day to Withdraw: FSUS does not permit students to withdraw from a class

19 Continuing Eligibility
Per articulation agreement: Students must maintain: TCC cumulative GPA of 2.0 (3 – 11 credit hours) TCC cumulative GPA of 3.0 (12 – 15 credit hours) Successful completion rate of 75% If the student drops below the required 2.0 grade point average or completion is below 75%, he/she will be given a one semester grace period. If student withdraws during this time, dual enrollment eligibility is forfeited. Credit Hours: General Dual Enrollment: 3-11 credit hours per semester high school unweighted GPA of 3.0 TCC GPA of 2.0 Early Admission: credit hours high school unweighted GPA of 3.50 TCC GPA of 3.0 Seniors only

21 AP or CLEP (Credit By Exam)
My student has earned college credit through AP courses taken at their high school. Will TCC award the credit? Official scores must be submitted from testing agency to TCC. Scores are not accepted via high school transcript. TCC honors credits earned by the following exams: AP – Advanced Placement CLEP – College-Level Examination Program Please visit link for detailed information concerning credit by exam: udent-records-registrar--admin- needs/credit-by-exam/ (select TCC Credit-by-exam Equivalencies)

22 Orientation Dual enrolled students will register for and complete an online course specifically for dual enrolled students via Canvas – TalonTed Eagles Experience (TEE). The course will be made available in Canvas first day of classes. This course does not count against credit hours and will not yield a letter grade. All students are required to complete the course.

23 Student ID Card & Parking Decal
Will my student be required to have the student id card and parking decal? The student id card is not required, nor the parking decal. However, TCC strongly encourages students to have both. Students may obtain the student id card and parking decal from the Cashier’s Office (2nd Floor of Student Union).
