Con-man – stands for “confidence man,” someone who lies and tricks people to get money or get access to somewhere they don’t belong
Check – like a money transfer but on paper; in America, people write how much money they want to send, to who, and sign it, and give it to someone else to deposit
Bounced check – when someone gives a check to someone else for an amount of money, but the person who wrote the check doesn’t actually have that much money
Overdrawn account – a bank account that had more money spent than saved
Fraud – wrongful or criminal lie to get money or personal gain
Fraudster – someone who commits or does fraud
Forgery – creating a fake object or document that looks like the real one (fake money, fake diploma, etc.)
FBI – Federal Bureau of Investigation, US Government’s crime fighting organization
