6. The Tribulation Prophecy
Matthew 24:15-22 Persecution by the Jews – 2 Thessalonians 1:4 Persecution by the Romans – Acts 12:1 Natural calamity – Acts 11:28
2Th 1:4 therefore, we ourselves speak proudly of you among the churches of God for your perseverance and faith in the midst of all your persecutions and afflictions which you endure.
Ac 12:1 ¶ Now about that time Herod the king laid hands on some who belonged to the church in order to mistreat them.
Ac 11:28 One of them named Agabus stood up and began to indicate by the Spirit that there would certainly be a great famine all over the world. And this took place in the reign of Claudius.

7. The OTHER Tribulation Prophecy
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.“ John 16:33

8. All Saints Have Tribulations
strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, "Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God." Acts 14:22

9. Sometimes It is Our Fault

Re 2:22 'Behold, I will cast her upon a bed [of sickness], and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds.

10. Sometimes It is NOT Our Fault

Heb 10:32 But remember the former days, when, after being enlightened, you endured a great conflict of sufferings, 33 partly by being made a public spectacle through reproaches and tribulations, and partly by becoming sharers with those who were so treated..

11. Sometimes Tribulation is Needed
For Growth – Mark 4:17, Acts 11:19
Mr 4:17 and they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away.
Ac 11:19 ¶ So then those who were scattered because of the persecution that occurred in connection with Stephen made their way to Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except to Jews alone.

Ro 5:3 And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

15. Brethren Overcame First century tribulations ended in victory
ALL tribulations end in victory
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it Corinthians 10:13
