OSEO is a major publishing initiative from Oxford University Press, providing an interlinked collection of authoritative Oxford editions of major works from the humanities
Print scholarly editions are necessarily a scarce resource in the university and research library. The publication of these scholarly editions online offers access to multiple users simultaneously, both on campus and remotely
OSEO contains hundreds of scholarly editions of material written between 1485 and 1901, plus Classical Latin authors.
Overseen by a prestigious editorial board of prominent academics, led by Michael F. Suarez, S.J. (Director of Rare Book School at the University of Virginia), OSEO maintains the highest editorial standards
In future updates OSEO will grow into a massive virtual library, with new content added in chronological steps
