1 Dalai Lama Hospitalized

2 It was announced on Tuesday that the Dalai Lama has been hospitalized with a chest infection, but is in a stable condition. The 83-year-old Tibetan Buddhist monk had returned to his home of Dharamsala, in the Indian Himalayas, from a meeting with youth leaders in New Delhi when he felt "some discomfort." Last month marked 60 years since the Dalai Lama fled Tibet for exile in India, after an unsuccessful revolt following the arrival of Chinese troops in Tibet saw thousands flee across the border. Ever since, the Dalai Lama -- who is revered as a living god by millions of Tibetan Buddhists -- has made India his home. India officially calls him “(our) most esteemed and honored guest.” From his base in India, the Dalai Lama traveled the globe, becoming an icon, culturally as well as religiously.

3 In Other News James Holzhauer, a 34-year-old professional sports gambler from Las Vegas, won Tuesday's episode of Jeopardy with a total of $110, breaking the record for single-day cash winnings. And that number is also interesting because his daughter was born on November 9, 2014 (11/09/14). This was Holzhauer's fourth win in a row, and in total, he's collected $244,365 so far. On Wednesday, he'll try to go for his fifth win. Doctors treating a Taiwanese woman for a swollen eye were shocked to find four tiny bees living under her left eyelid. The miniscule insects, known as sweat bees, are inches in length. The sweat bee feeds off nectar and pollen, but is also drawn to human perspiration, which provides moisture and salts. Magic Johnson, the beloved former point guard behind five world titles for the Los Angeles Lakers, announced Tuesday night he was quitting as the team's president of basketball operations. Benjamin Netanyahu appeared to be on the cusp of securing a record fifth term as Israeli Prime Minister Wednesday after a dramatic finish to a closely fought election race. Retired Lt. Col. Richard Cole, the last survivor of the Doolittle Raid, the first U.S. strike on the Japanese islands during World War II, died Tuesday in Texas. He was 103. Cole was one of 80 men sent to target factory areas and military installations in Japan on April 18, The daring raid stunned Japan and is credited with boosting U.S. morale and helping turn the tide of the war in the Pacific.
