2. Strategic Overview and Mandate
Vision
To operate a national network of factories and factory outlets that contributes to the economic empowerment of people with disabilities.
Mission
To provide employment and training opportunities to people who have been excluded from work as a result of their disability and to support their transition into mainstream employment.
Functions of the SEE as per the ES Act 4 of 2014
The functions of Supported Employment Enterprises are to—
facilitate supported employment;
provide work opportunities for persons with disabilities;
develop and implement programmes that promote the employability of persons with disabilities, including persons with permanent disablement as defined in the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, 1993 (Act No. 130 of 1993), in the light of their evolving needs in a changing economy; and (d) perform any other function as may be prescribed by the Minister.

3. Progress on 2016/17 Annual Performance Plans
SEE has achieved 63% and 75% on its performance targets for the 1st and 2nd quarter respectively.
This is a significant improvement from the 2015/16 year end performance of 20%
