Grade of chronic renal failure, and acute and long-term outcome after percutaneous coronary interventions  Holger Reinecke, Torsten Trey, Fritz Matzkies, Manfred Fobker, Günter Breithardt, Roland M. 2 Figure 1 Cumulative mortality (in %) was plotted for the several groups of patients depending on their serum creatinine levels at the time of percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). Numbers at the top of each bar denote the total number of patients in each group. There were significant differences when the mortality of the patients with higher creatinine levels were compared to those with a creatinine of ≤1.0 mg/dL: *P < 0.05; ***P < Kidney International  , DOI: ( /j x) Copyright © 2003 International Society of Nephrology Terms and Conditions

3 Figure 2 Cumulative survival rate according to the strata of creatinine levels of the patients in a Kaplan-Meier model. Each cross represents a patient still alive during follow-up. The cumulative survival of the patients with a creatinine of ≤1.0 mg/dL and that of the patients with an elevated creatinine of 1.3 to 1.4 mg/dL (P = , log rank test), 1.5 to 2.0 mg/dL (P < 0.001) and>2.0 mg/dL (P < 0.001) was found to be significantly different.
