Prototype cavities development
Goal: test in HNOSS of one Double-Spoke prototype cavity equipped with a coupler Status of cavities Cavity GIULIETTA stand-by (waiting for CM assembly) Cavity ROMEA + coupler Finalisation of the Labview software implementation in the RF loop: DONE RF conditioning of the 300K: DONE: Pmax=120 kW, 2.86 ms. Cool down of the cavity: ON GOING Test plan for the following weeks W12: RF conditioning of the 4K W13-14: RF test of the 4K, then 2K. from Roger yesterday Dear colleagues, This morning we have started the cooldown of HNOSS and Romea with liquid helium. By the end of the week we expect to be cold and have the Romea (fundamental) power coupler re-conditioned. Next week we will then start with our testing programme.
