1 Year 3 Tattenhall Residential
11th – 12th March 2019

2 Dates and Times Leaving on the 11th March at 9:15am
Returning on the 12th March by 3:30pm Children will put their bags under the pergola and say goodbye. Children will enter school as normal to be registered. There will be a member of year 3 staff outside to greet the children. Please hand any medication to this member of staff with the medication form. If you’d like to wave us off, please stand on the opposite side of the road to the bus so we can safely get the children on board.

3 Staffing Miss Smith, Mrs S and Mrs Dooley will be coming with us

4 Arrival Children will be given a Health and Safety talk, shown around the building and to their rooms. The children will be shown their beds and will have a chance to unpack their things.

5 Sleeping Boys dorm and girls dorm. All with bunk beds.
Doors are kept open of a night, there is only us in the building! Lights kept on in hall so children can find their way to the toilet. We will be sorting which beds the children are sleeping in to be mindful of medical, preferences and friendships. There is to be no food in dorms and no midnight snacks. Children do not need to bring any food except a packed lunch. The children will know where to find the teachers.

6 Food Breakfast - there is a wide variety for children to choose from.
Lunch - please bring a packed lunch for first day in a disposable bag. Lunch will be provided on the Tuesday. Tea - There is a wide choice of evening meals that children will be told about when they arrive and allowed to choose from. Juice and biscuits are provided during the day and also hot chocolate in the evening. The centre is aware of dietary requirements.

7 Activities We will be doing a drama, dance and art activities. We will be learning a dance, decorating t-shirts, making photoframes and playing some drama games.

9 Activities Weather permitting, Tattenhall has a great space outdoors for football and playing. We will be taking paper and colouring pencils. We will also take sports equipment. Children do not need any paper or balls.

10 Kit List The children will spend a lot of time outside. Suitable outside clothes needed. Outside shoes which can get muddy – not new trainers. Shoes/slippers for inside. Sun cream/sunhat Toothbrush, toothpaste, face cloth, bar of soap etc Teddy! Children do not need any cameras, phones, iPads or other electronic devices.

11 Packing Please pack with your child’s suitcase with them.
They need to know what they have in case something becomes lost Repacking to come home Part of the learning experience

12 Beforehand Form C needs to come back to school by Friday 1st March
Packed lunch will be required for the first day. Please send it in in a named carrier bag that can be binned.

13 Medication Any medication needs to be brought in to school on the Monday 11th March in a named food bag It must be handed to a member of year 3 staff on the morning of 11th along with a completed medical form Medicine cannot be left with the child We will take Calpol with us. We will call you before we administer it.
