1 The projects in the following pages have been identified by our Building & Grounds Commission made up of local architects, engineers, contractors and finance council members-all of whom are Blessed Sacrament Parish parishioners. They hold the parish dear to their hearts and want what is best for the parish. All of the listed projects would be considered “out of budget” items and would require special funding to complete. NOTHING has to be done IMMEDIATELY. We are simply looking at potential projects for the next 5-10 years.

5 Fundraising and Donations
Assumption Catholic School Our budget is met with three forms of income: Tuition Parish Subsidy Fundraising and Donations The cost of educating a child in our school last year was $ Our Total School Income & Expense Budget for is $747,600

6 Hibbing Catholic School Endowment
Since it’s inception in October of 2000, the Hibbing Catholic School Endowment Fund has distributed over $750,000 from earnings to Assumption Catholic School for various projects such as tuition assistance, a new computer lab, 70 iPads for student use, a contribution to the Building fund and many others.

14 Crumbling ramp—estimated costs to remove & replace--$60,000

15 Handicap Accessibility

16 Cleaning, tuckpointing, waterproofing & sealing of bell tower estimated $43,000 plus the cost of $43.60/brick

17 Cleaning, tuckpointing, waterproofing & sealing of main church $44,500 plus the cost of $43.60/brick

18 Circled areas on rooftop exhibit major damage from water intrusion and growth of vegetation thus causing interior damage to the choir loft walls. The entire parapet edge will need to have shingles & decking removed, area sealed, water diversion installed, decking & shingles replaced. Costs on repairs to parapet T.B.D. Estimated cost to reroof & replace gutters $39,000

29 Air conditioning Blessed Sacrament Church--- $40,000 budget pricing

30 Rectory balcony Reconstruction is needed on the southeast elevation cornered archway. Balcony archway deterioration caused by water infiltration. Quoted repairs $28,760 plus the cost of brick at $43.60/brick

31 North Elevation upper wall failure
Water infiltration from the roof has caused brick to bulge and deteriorate. Estimated costs for chimney removal, roof repair, repair & replacement of brick and tuckpointing--$15,000 plus the cost of brick.

32 Steam to gas conversion for Blessed Sacrament Campus-$250,000 budget price.
Savings recouped in years based on today’s steam price.

33 Stripping & refinishing
