3. Project Charter Current State Future State
The objective of this project is to increased the amount of money raised for the JEWELS annual fundraiser.
Current State
Future State
Last year, the JEWELS fundraiser had a net amount of $4,000.
The client usually hosts a youth pageant as their fundraiser; they only had 200 attendees.
2 years ago, the client raised $10,000 and had over 300 attendees.
To turn the event into a Gala that celebrates community leaders; showcases the youth pageant; and provides entertainment.
The goal is to raise $10,000 and have 300+ attendees.

10. Assumptions
That a majority of the team will purchase tickets to the event
The venue has A/V capabilities
The venue can provide table décor that matches the team’s vision
At least 19 kids will participate (22 participated last year)
At least 1 person will be nominated for the community award

11. Risks
There is a risk that the event will not solicit $2,000 or more in sponsorships/donations
There is a risk that not enough students will register to participate in the event
There is a risk that no one will be nominated for the Community Award
There is a risk that the preferred venue is outside of the budget
