SD-100 to 600: Inlet & exhaust valve
Integrated inlet & exhaust valves Straight flow through design – low pressure drop Integrated pilot air circuits Pressure actuated pinch style valve Brass & aluminum construction NO on inlet and NC on Exhaust The most important valve, especially on a heatless dryer is the inlet valve. This valve can operate as often as every 5 minutes continuously on a standard –40 dryer or every 2 minutes on a –100 dryer. This is a significant amount of wear and tear and failure of this valve will cause drying to continue on a single tower indefinitely, eventually ruining the desiccant, and degrading the downstream dewpoint. On the SD-100 to 600, we use a combined inlet and exhaust valve block. This valve block uses pressure actuated seals to direct air to the left and right towers and to open and close the purge exhaust. The valve block consists of a bronze and aluminum body.
