2. Update to the TEB process in accordance with NAVADMIN 236/18
Login to: < (DO NOT use the link in the NAVADMIN; it is broken currently) ;
Click "Post 911 (SOU)"
Add Data as needed
Click "Verify Contact Information”
Click "I agree"
Click the link at the bottom (or here: MilConnect < )
Login with CAC
Under “I want to…”, select “Transfer my education benefits” (screenshot attached)
Form Submission:
a. Select the bubble for GI Bill
b. Suggestion: enter at least one month for every dependent; you can always shift the months around,
1. INITIAL transfer (with filling of SOU) to any dependent(S) is what incurs the 4 year obligation, and has strict time limits. After that, you can add a dependent BEFORE RETIREMENT, and it will not incur any extra service commitment.

a. After at least a week, log back in to Milconnect to verify it was approved. You will not receive any message or notification if it’s disapproved. The burden is on you to verify approval, rather than system notification or automated updates.
