JD Edwards Continuous Innovation
Product innovation delivered by Oracle in smaller updates Delivered on a more frequent basis Released rapidly to deliver value to the market faster EnterpriseOne 9.2 Continuous Delivery EnterpriseOne 9.2 Continuous Adaptation New releases adopted by customers to realize the value delivered by Oracle Adapt business processes and approach to realize value Reducing the requirement for costly, disruptive upgrades We are introducing a new ongoing release model for the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne product line. New product innovation and features being delivered as updates–that are easier to manage and consume. Customers do not need to wait several years before these new capabilities can be packaged and delivered through a major release – they can incrementally add these new capabilities as they need it when they need it and have the required bandwidth to adopt them. And all this choice and control without the need to embark on costly, disruptive upgrades. We provide the required tools to evaluate business needs as well as to plan, manage and execute these update cycles. Customers need an upgrade that is predictable in cost and that allows choice and control for what to install and when. No more costly, big bang upgrades. More details on LearnJDE and Blog.

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Product Roadmap
Planned JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Product Roadmap Reviewed Annually for Extension Release 9.2 9.2.2 9.2.3 9.2.C 9.2.D 9.2.M 9.2.N 2015 Nov 2017 Nov 2018 Nov 2030 Release X So, what does Continuous Innovation on the 9.2 release look like from a product roadmap perspective? It looks busy since with CI we are delivering more frequent, smaller innovation packs (represented by the black dots) and annual cumulative updates for both Tools and Applications (represented by the blue dots) Our plan is to continue to deliver innovation on the 9.2 release for the foreseeable future and only create a new major release if there is a major technology discontinuity requiring an extremely large amount of change to the software. But, we do not see anything like that in the future. Feature Packs Updates Future Code Line X.A X.B The above is intended to outline our general product direction. It is intended for information purposes only, and may not be incorporated into any contract. It is not a commitment to deliver any material, code, or functionality, and should not be relied upon in making purchasing decisions. The development, release and timing of any features or functionality described for Oracle's products remains at the sole discretion of Oracle. As of December 18, 2018

Additional Focused Investment Areas
Operational Simplification Easier to manage and run JDE, lower TCO JDE on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Application Functionality Lease Accounting, Joint Ventures Added focus on Customer Driven…Your enhancement Service Requests count! The last bullet…my point is that in the past we have focused on fewer larger projects. Now focusing more on more smaller customer driven enhancements. In general we weight requests that have many customers backing them as higher in priority. So your vote, AKA an SR, counts.

Recent Customer Driven HCM Enhancements
Description Available The manager/supervisor change process has been improved so that the new manager will have access to review and approve pre-existing time cards. May 2018 PDBA rollover functionality has been enhanced so that rollovers can now be run by Benefit Group or Union code JD Edwards has simplified the benefits enrollment user experience by providing an interface that allows the employee to see each benefit selected and its associated cost as they choose their benefit elections. October 2018 JD Edwards now provides a way to monitor for lock-in letter compliance. When a lock-in letter is received from the IRS for an employee, you are obligated to ignore any W-4 information requested by the employee if it would result in lower federal tax withholding. An orchestration evaluates the filing status and number of exemptions for employees flagged as having a lock-in letter and sends notifications for any non-compliance Confidential – Oracle Internal/Restricted/Highly Restricted

April 2019 Scissors capability in Manage Employees previously existed that allowed you to use cut and paste to move employees. This bypassed the apps audit trail. This tools level Scissors capability was removed. January 2019 JD Edwards Payroll can now be configured so that extra tax withholdings are not applied if they result in negative net pay. This new configuration provides companies with greater flexibility for payroll processing of employees whose hours and salaries fluctuate The Benefits Open Enrollment process has been enhanced to make the identification and selection of dependents versus beneficiaries easier. A new column has been added that indicates dependent or beneficiary type. Confidential – Oracle Internal/Restricted/Highly Restricted

Description Available The Review Payment History has been enhanced so that you can review both DBA detail and a summary of DBA amounts by DBA code. This flexibility makes payments easier to review regardless of the number of time cards for the period. Previously, DBA history could only be reviewed in full detail. April 2019 The PDBA Setup and Visual Assist forms have been enhanced to simplify finding and accessing active Pay Types, Deductions, Benefits, and Accruals (PDBAs). You can switch between viewing all PDBAs or only active PDBAs with a single click, resulting in faster access, greater accuracy, and an improved user experience.
