2 Accountability & Assistance Advisory Council (AAAC)
Established by the Education Reform Act of 1993 as an advisory council to the Commissioner & the Board Advises on matters pertaining to the development & implementation of Massachusetts’ accountability & assistance system

3 Membership Co-chairs 15-member council:
Valerie Annear, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, East Longmeadow Public Schools Meg Mayo-Brown, Superintendent, Barnstable Public Schools 15-member council: Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents Massachusetts Teachers Association Massachusetts Secondary School Administrators Association Massachusetts Elementary Principals Association Massachusetts Association of School Committees, and Massachusetts Charter Public School Association 1 representative of business/industry 8 at-large members
