The chest radiograph shows dense bilateral patchy alveolar infiltrative change and normal cardiac and mediastinal width. Panel B, Chest radiograph from the same patient after 1 day of treatment with supplemental oxygen delivered by nasal cannula at a flow rate of 4 L/min.
