Transition. What is it and what does it look through the eyes of your child. Transition to life after high school can be a complex adventure full of questions and fear. Take this opportunity to learn some strategies that makes transition slightly easier. Being prepared for this adventure is the ultimate goal.
Target Audience
If you are the parent of a child with special needs, you need to educate yourself about the many options available for the future. Imagine the possibilities in the areas of Independent Living, Education, Training, Employment, Community Integration, Health Care, and Self Advocacy. How can you ensure that your child receives appropriate transition planning to improve quality of life after graduation? How can you find appropriate caregivers who will carry out your wishes and respect your child’s goals, dreams, and life expectations? It’s never to early to start planning for your child’s future.
