February 6th – February 10th ELA: We are going to read and discuss functional texts (texts that help us do things in every day life). We are beginning our expository nonfiction unit in writing. Vocabulary: Require: “need” Serve: “give someone food or drink” Prefer: “like better.” If you prefer something, you like it better than something else. Vertical: If something is vertical, it is positioned up and down rather than from side to side. Horizontal: If something is horizontal, it is positioned from side to side rather than up and down.
