What is a bully? Is bully a noun or a verb? We will compare two different texts… the book, Just Kidding and the poem, Anyway. We will understand and compare the author’s point of view and theme/ message for each piece of literature. We will use these texts to learn how to recognize bullying behaviors and what to do when bullying occurs.

Compare the poem we just read to the book we read yesterday. Focus on the following aspects: What is a common message the authors from both texts share? How does the author’s point of view influence the main ideas in each text? Think about your answer, pair with your face partner and be ready to share out your thoughts.
