Who’s who in Work Experience?
employed.im – Carrie Yates Work Experience Coordinator - she will find placements and check that they are suitable for you to attend School contacts – Mr Baker Your first point of contact for advice or help and will provide you with any forms you need.

What is Work Experience?
Work Experience is designed to bridge the gap between education and the world of work. It’s an opportunity to prove yourself to employers and to find some new skills that you’re good at. It could help to determine your future career plans.

Employers must complete all parts of the form!
Self-placement Employers must complete all parts of the form! Make sure the employer signs the form

Database placements In Classroom Sessions you will: -Log onto your profile in employed.im – you need to be able to log in to your school address -View the database placements that are available -Make a shortlist of at least 6 placements that you’d like to do

Next week tutor sessions in H1 and H2
The tutor group sessions will be as follows (from 9.05am – 9.25am): Monday 28th Jan H1 – Mr Caldwell H2 – Mrs Lakeman Tuesday 29th Jan H1 – Mr Fells H2 – Miss Cretney Wednesday 30th Jan H1 – Mr Duggan H2 – Any students that did not attend on Monday or Tuesday

Remember First impressions count
You never get a second chance to make a good impression, make eye contact and be friendly. Appearance You should dress according to the guidelines given by the employer, this will vary from employer to employer. Log Book Don’t forget to use your log book to record your experience, it will help to form part of your CV and Record of Achievement.
