Reading: We are starting a new story, Covered Wagon Girl. We are
Focusing on text structure and main idea with this story.
Math: We are continuing to work with equivalent fractions, simplifying fractions, and comparing fractions.
Social Studies: We are learning about pioneer life. How did they get from place to place? What did they eat? Chores?
Writing: The students will be creating pioneer journals. They will act like they are a pioneer kid and write diary entries about what their day to day life was like.

Spelling City
Students will take a pretest on Mondays. If they get all of the words on the pretest correct, then they don’t have to take a post test. Fridays are spelling test days and the results will be sent home either that day or Monday. You can also go online to see your student’s scores on activities and tests!
