Negation: The opposite meaning of a statement Compound Statement: 2 or more statements joined by “and” or “or” Conjunction: An and statement Disjunction: An or statement

P: A rectangle is a quadrilateral Q: A rectangle is convex P and Q: A rectangle is a quadrilateral, and a rectangle is convex Both have to be true for the whole thing to be true Disjunctions P: Mark studies geometry Q: Mark studies chemistry P or Q: Mark studies geometry, or Mark studies chemistry Only one has to be true for the whole thing to be true
