Conflict- Internal vs. External Character struggles with themselves Character struggles with another person, society, or nature Protagonist - Hero of the story, undergoes the ultimate change in the story. Antagonist - Character(s) working against the hero Imagery- descriptive figurative language that paints a picture in your mind

8 Chunk the Story First chunk ends on page 4 after the line “Out of the snarl of beard two small eyes regarded Rainsford.” Second chunk ends on page 10 after the paragraph that ends with the word pistol. Third chunk ends on page 13 after the second full paragraph.
